Gertrudis Cathedral

The Gertrudis Cathedral was built because the adjacent Gertrudis Chapel had become too small. The cathedral is the main church of the Old Catholics, who separated from the Roman Catholic Church in the 18th century.

The colorful murals, mosaics, floors and windows complete the interior of the Ste. Gertrudis Cathedral unique. In addition, the baptismal font's marble basin is Italian work from the early 18th century.

The church continues to hold services and organize various activities. On the left side of the church, the complex 'In de Driehoek' has been built, which also includes the Gertrudis Chapel. These spaces provide a center for parish gatherings, as well as for other tenants.
