You have probably seen them, those colorful cups, mugs and jugs with a beautiful drawing of the Dom Tower. These are made at Stichting echtWaar, a Utrecht workplace for people with a distance to the labor market. It is a very personal product, because it also shows the name of the designer. The echtWaar Foundation not only specializes in ceramics, but also in textiles. Beautiful bags are made here, often from recyclable material, and nowadays even mouth masks.
The echtWaar workplace is a quiet and safe working environment where people can be themselves. Employees are encouraged to make products they can be proud of. In this way they actively participate in society.
