De Moestuin (The Allotment) is a unique place located on the outskirts of the city on the banks of the Kromme Rijn (Crooked Rhine). But this is no ordinary allotment: it has an organic vegetable patch, a carpentry workshop, a shop and a café where you can enjoy lunch. During the summer months, visitors can pick their own flowers and vegetables. 

The people at De Moestuin feel strongly about fresh, quality products produced according to traditional methods. Everything is organic, from the vegetables grown in the allotment to the food and drink served in the café and the products sold in the shop.

It is not only a recreational and educational centre for visitors, but De Moestuin is also a social enterprise that offers work placements in gardening and catering to help people get back into work.
