Doopsgezinde Kerk

On the Oudegracht is a stately mansion between the other houses. Actually it is a hidden church. The 'De Witte Leeuw' brewery was previously located in the building. then it was converted into a church in the 18th century.

The church is special because the facade does not show that this house is actually a church. The 'Doopsgezinde' church was built as a hidden church. Hence, church towers and loud church bells are missing. In addition, it is special because within the church the arrangement with the 'women's block' in the middle and men's benches around it has remained from the time of the persecutions. The organ is also an important and striking part of the interior of the church.
