Sin­gel loop

This route takes you along places that tell the complete story of the Utrecht singel — from city defense to city park.

The Singel Route starts at Zocherplantsoen, at the corner of Rijnkade and Mariaplaats, right where asphalt made way for water again in 2020. If you want to explore the history of the singel and its surrounding park in an active way, this route is the perfect choice.

Each information board includes a special question for children, making the route fun to do (in part or whole) with your family or grandchildren. The texts are available in Dutch and English.
