Christ­mas Lights Crui­se on a Ro­man Ship

Experience the heartwarming Kerstlichtjesvaart in Utrecht! During this 1.5 to 2-hour cruise, visitors sail along the beautifully illuminated ring canals and the Oudegracht, with the historic ship itself decorated in festive lights.

In the run-up to Christmas, Utrecht offers a unique experience on the water: the Christmas Lights Cruise aboard the Roman ship De Meern 1. During the 1.5 to 2-hour tour, visitors travel through the atmospheric, light-decorated canals. Along the way, there is a short stop for an intimate intermezzo: a youth choir or shanty choir performs live Christmas Carols. Hot chocolate or a glass of mulled wine completes the experience, creating an unforgettable and heartwarming moment in the dark days before Christmas.
